Nutrition Counseling

Initial Assessment

Nutrition counseling sessions typically begin with an initial assessment that can span over the course of 2-3 sessions. This is where I collect comprehensive information about your individual medical history, lifestyle, relationship with food, body, and movement, and goals that you are hoping to work towards with a dietitian. This initial step allows for a thorough understanding of your needs and enables me to evaluate the compatibility of my approach with your needs. The assessment also offers a chance for you and I to get acquainted with each other and establish a supportive relationship.

Nutrition Follow-ups

Once we have determined that I am the right fit for you and following your nutrition assessment, you and I will mutually agree upon a meeting frequency. Typically, it's recommended to have weekly to bi-weekly sessions to help monitor progress and make necessary adjustments. During these follow-up sessions, we'll continue to work together to achieve your personal goals, address any concerns, and discuss any nutrition-related needs. Our work together will be ongoing with adjustments to frequency as time goes on. Some clients look for short-term care while others may find it helpful to meet with a dietitian for many years.
